Structure by Mac Stopa for Tonon

Combining elements of classic design with organic shapes, the Structure chair designed by Mac Stopa for Italian furniture manufacturer Tonon has a distinctly organic vibe. Its organic shaped shell has a three-dimensional triangular pattern on the shell’s external side, creating the look and feel of texture and movement. Manufactured in low-density integral polyurethane solid-colored foam material, the smooth surface of Structure’s inner shell conforms perfectly to the body, providing the utmost in seating comfort. The chair’s dynamic four-leg base is available in two attractive options: chromed or matt chromed steel legs or warm wooden legs in American walnut or European oak. The shell is available in eleven colors. Structure was introduced at IMM 2013 in Cologne and exhibited at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2013 in Milan. The Structure chair received a Red Dot Award 2013, Interior Design Best of Year Award 2013, GOOD DESIGN™ Award 2013 from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and German Design Award Special Mention 2015.  www.tononitalia.iten.red-dot.org, boyawards.interiordesign.net
